Sushi tastes very good and one of my favorite sushi spots in Shawnee. Restaurant is very ambient. I think the workers are afraid of their boss but that's okay.

It doesn't matter what you get, from the experienced sushi eater to the novice, you wont be disappointed. But you will be very full! Our family really enjoy Sushi Mido. Regardless what you order, the fish and veggies are fresh and service is accommodating. I would advise against getting the all you can eat sushi unless you are planning to eat a minimum of 4 rolls by yourself. (While pricing makes sense if you eat just 3, the rolls are so big that you need a stomach big enough for 4 rolls). Since it comes with 2 sides, it is extremely filling. Personally, the 3 times that I have done it, I leave uncomfortably full (and regretting my decisions ) . Also, there is a disclaimer on the all u can eat menu that states you will be charged $0.75 for every piece left on the plate. Enjoy! My next trip here will be for their lunch special.

Hit up the all you can eat sushi at Sushi Mido for the second time. It is a steal! We got crab Rangoon and ginger salad, along with all the sushi rolls we wanted both times! Service was good - no complaints here! Really enjoyed all the rolls with spicy tuna. Will definitely be back if in the area.

5/5 stars Food: Appetizers- Egg drop soup- neutral and nice, mild Crab Rangoons- triangle, and crisp with just right amount of filling. Tastes great Salad with ginger dressing - my wife won't stop talking about the dressing, very good flavor. Edamame - it's edamame, steamed well. Rolls- Bagel - superb, hint of Smokey flavor from smoked salmon. Eel avocado - great flavor, good eel taste California - it's a California roll Las Vegas roll - bit too much going on, the one roll we didn't like much Yam tempura - perfect, crispy fried yam wrapped into a sushi roll with eel sauce. My god is it delicious Mango - a lot going on, similar to rainbow roll (with variety of fish covering over it), but fruit added good flavor. A variety of flavor from one roll, neat! Pink lady - a desert roll, with fried cheese cake and straw berry. It's like a delicious roll, like a fried cheese cake chimichanga Ambiance - Restaurant was quiet, nice decor, Asian style umbrellas on the ceiling was a nice touch. Service - My wife was stabbed by my 2 year old, and got a splinter from the chop sticks. The waiter had tweezers at the ready and it was removed. The waiter had dry, but fun sense of humor. All in all a delicious meal, the only draw back is you don't have endless appetizers. Because their appetizers are amazing and not all people like sushi as much.

Great spot for sushi, with lots of other menu items if you have guests that are less adventurous. We enjoy the sushi, and there's an all you can eat option available for those with bigger appetites. Keep in mind they will charge you if you have a lot left behind, so just order carefully. We've been a few times, and the service is generally good, fast and friendly. The decor is nice, with plenty of seating, but it can get very crowded during peak times.

Great sushi spot! I normally come for lunch because their lunch deals are awesome! Not a huge fan of the crab Rangoons but that's really a personal preference thing, there is nothing wrong with them. Service is good.

Loved this place! The food was good and the prices were great! The staff was very nice and the tables were tidy and clean. They have a couple good lunch deals but for dinner they have an all you can eat deal as well. I got a couple rolls and appetizers. They were all great! The crab Rangoon were good but could have been a little hotter. The gyoza was delicious. I also had the ginger salad. I tried the K.C. Chiefs roll, the spicy crunchy crab roll, and the Las Vegas roll. The kc chiefs roll was my favorite. It was simple but so good! The amount of crunch was perfect. I also really liked the spicy crunchy crab roll. The rolls were all great deals and I will definitely be back soon!

This place is located in downtown "old Shawnee" and it has just enough seating. I like how they take an hour to shut down and I'm assuming allow their employees to have lunch and/or prep. If you can get here before 3 it's the best time to taste more things for a lower price, or if you are a big eater the dinner might best suite you because there is an unlimited sushi roll option! I have been here 3 random times, once for dinner and twice for lunch and I can honestly say I see why this place is a staple. The sushi rolls are made fresh to order and all of the ingredients taste like they are prepped the same day. The sushi rolls are the star of the show and why I keep coming back, but their potstickers are superb as well! The service is always fast and efficient, you'll never have to ask for a refill or leave feeling hungry. As you all know I am big on consistency and this food is well worth the price no matter the day of the week or time of the day, Mido will get you taken care of during regular business hours
